Kipp Dye, MSPT
Kipp Dye is a well known Boston-based physical therapist who previously managed Charles River Sports Therapy, Boston, Inc. He is currently the owner of OrthosportsMED Physical Therapy. Kipp graduated with a Master of Science degree from Simmons College (1996) and obtained his undergraduate education from the University of California at Berkeley (1986). Kipp is an accomplished competitive swimmer: a high school and NCAA Division I All-American, and a gold medalist in the 50 Meter Backstroke at the 1998 Nike World Masters Games. Kipp understands water therapy and fitness and works with those who have orthopedic conditions such as arthritis, sports injuries, and post-surgical conditions. His areas of specialty are foot and ankle, shoulder, and knee conditions. Also, Kipp is an inventor of the Aquafit water therapy and fitness product line.
Jacqueline Meth, PT, DPT
Jacqueline aka "Jaxie" came to work at OrthoSportMed in summer 2015 after receiving her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from American International College in Springfield, MA. She graduated with her BS in Kinesiology and Psychology from University of Massachusetts-Amherst in 2011 where she was member of the D1 rugby team. Jaxie completed a year long residency at the prestigious Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy where she mastered advanced manual treatments of the spine and orthopedic injuries. Jaxie has been teaching in the physical therapy department as an Adjunct Professor at Simmons College since 2016 teaching topics related to Orthopedic Manual Therapy. Jaxie is certified and has additional training in Functional Dry Needling.
Jaxie is an accomplished swimmer and swim coach with extensive knowledge on the evaluation, treatment, and prevention of swimming injuries. Jaxie enjoys staying active and can often be found taking an early morning spin class or running around the city with her dog/clinic mascot Kenzie.
Shawn Sprague, PT, DPT, OCS
Shawn received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology (2010), and Doctor of Physical Therapy (2013) degrees from the University of Rhode Island. After graduation, Shawn completed a year-long residency from the renowned Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy in 2014, with an emphasis on hands-on spine and orthopedic care. Shawn recently received his Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) Certification through the APTA. Shawn has been teaching in the physical therapy departments as an Adjunct Professor at Simmons College and Teaching Assistant at MGH- IHP since 2015 in topics related to Orthopedic Manual Therapy. He enjoys teaching and mentoring both students of physical therapy and colleagues in the areas of spine treatment and sports medicine. Shawn has also been serving as treasurer for the Manual Therapy Special Interest Group since 2014.
Shawn has been working part- time at OrthosportsMed since beginning of 2015, also been working at Newton-Wellesley Hospital in the outpatient department since 2014. He specializes in orthopedic rehabilitation, sports injuries and treatment of the spine.
Marina Trapezina, Office Manager Needham
Marina is currently attending Bunker Hill Community College. She has over 10 years of experience working in the healthcare industry. Her experience includes healthcare administration and clinical research. In addition, she has a wide-range of experience and a broad knowledge of insurance and medical billing, of prior authorization, and with electronic medical records. In her free time she loves spending time with her family.
